How I got here
I grew up on the Space Coast building boats and fixing engines in my parents' garage. That turned into a mechanical engineering degree, then five engineering roles — custom cabinetry, industrial controls, sheet-metal automation, and finally orthopedic instruments I helped patent alongside the surgeons who used them.
Somewhere in the middle of that I started writing the software around the machines instead of just the machines: production dashboards, quoting tools, compliance documents. Now I build both halves — the mechanism and the system that runs it.
The AI Toolkit is the clearest example. Thirteen interactive field guides on working with AI — 65 families, 268 patterns — researched, written, and built as a static React app with a build-time extraction pipeline. It is the reference I wanted and could not find.
